Elbows
This piece was inspired by my love of history and vintage print ads. The first in a mixed media collage series, Elbows explores the media’s relationship with the female body. I spent hours combing through magazine clippings from 1930-1960 examining the lens in which we looked at the female figure. Elbows is meant to be a whimsical portal into that world.
Medium: Acrylic & Collage on Studio Wrapped Linen, Protective Gloss Varnish
Dimensions: 24”x 18”x 1½”
Frame not included.
